We have always said that Staying Fit is all about creating healthy habits. Research says it takes 21 days for the human mind to get adapted to a new habit, routine, space or lifestyle as such. So how long should it take for you to get your body transformation??
For any physical change that you wish to see on your body, there are a lot of changes that your body goes through internally. Every process takes its own course and must be completed. The Speed of the process may defer from individual to individual depending on your biological fitness levels.
Let’s Understand it completely:
The more fat you hold, the more complications your body has to carry put its biological functions on a daily basis. You may also have a few complications such as High cholesterol, high uric acid etc.
Your Metabolism also will be way to less with you being overweight.
So, while trying to lose weight and fats your body goes through various process where it is getting into a territory which is has never been or is entering after years. It is getting better, getting fitter.
Your joints feel lighter as there is less load on them. Your organs are functioning better as they get a clean and healthy diet on a daily basis. The Triglyceride & glycogen stores are being balanced.
Not to forget your metabolism while doing all this is trying to stay stable.
So does a quick fix really work here.
The answer is yes it does but it even breaks quickly.
Many a times we look for a quick weight loss solution as we have a wedding or a vacation planned in the next 3-4 weeks. We go extreme and lose a lot of weight in quick time, but what we do no achieve is a stable metabolism levels and the rest of the bodies vital do not get enough time to adapt themselves to the new process. And hence, you will see more often than not, people with quick fixes, gain all the weight back easily.
Unlike weight loss, muscle gain is a slow and steady process.
Why steady because it grows at a steady pase and is more or less linear with small ups and down in it.
Muscle gain involves you working on progressive overload in terms of training and diet and gradually working on getting stronger and fitter. So if you are someone who can lift 5 kgs today, do not expect yourself to become a super sayaan overnight and be able to lift 55kgs in 4-6 weeks’ time naturally.
You will see growth in short term but it will be limited, it all boils down to how well you adhere to the plan and discipline and determination. You will eventually get to where you want to be but your body has its own process of getting there.
Unlike any machine, your body also needs maintenance time out. You will notice a big fall in the graph of muscle growth, but that is when your maintenance comes in. you will gain big as a beginner but as you get closer towards your bodies potential, the numbers will slow down, there will be more quality than quantity.
A straight forward answer, weight / fat loss can be achieved in 12 weeks’ time but muscle gain may take longer even 6 months to a year to get like your favorite Instagram athlete you follow and admire and get your body transformation as you like.
