A Bowl  of green rice which is included mint and green Pease

INGREDIENTS:
  • Brown Rice: 70 gms
  • Palak Leaves ( Spinach) : 150 gms
  • Peas: 30 gms Cup
  • Capsicum: 1 / 4 Cup
  • Ginger : 1 inch
  • Garlic cloves: 7-8
  • Green Chillies: 2-3
  • Cinnamon: 1 inch
  • Cloves: 4
  • Cardamoms: 3
  • Black Peppercorns: 4- 5
  • Jeera: 1 Tsp
  • Ghee: 2 Tbsp
  • Onion: 01 No.
  • Turmeric powder: 1/2 Tsp
  • Red Chilli powder: 1/2 Tsp
  • Garam Masala / Biryani Masala: 1/2 Tsp
  • Lemon: As per taste
  • Salt: As per taste
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Coriander Leaves: Few
DIRECTIONS
  • Take a bowl. Add brown rice into it. Mix some water to it and soak for 20—30 mins as brown rice takes a little longer time to get cooked compare to white rice. Keep aside.
  • Take a grinder. Add roughly chop green chillies, ginger, garlic cloves along with chopped spinach leaves and add little water to it . Grind the whole mixture into a fine puree and keep aside.
  • Take a pressure cooker. Add ghee in it. Add all seasonings: cloves, crushed cardamom, Black Peppercorns, Cinnamon, Jeera and also add sliced onion Saute it well till onion turns little golden in colour. Then add Turmeric powder+ Red Chilli powder. Saute it. Later, add the above Spinach / Palak puree+ salt in it. Again saute for some time. Add all the above vegetables in the cooker and saute for 2.3 mins. Add garam masala / biryani masala and mix all the ingredients well .
  • At last, add 2 cups of water. Put a pinch of lemon. Once water starts boiling, add soaked rice and mix it well. Cover the lid. After 1st whistle, lower the flame for about 12-15 mins. Then, turn off the flame.
  • Once its cooked, open the cooker and stir it again and garnish with coriander leaves. Now, Palak brown rice is ready to be served hot.
