Green Pea Upma

INGREDIENTS:
  • Semolina ( Suji): 40gms Cup
  • Oil: 1 Tbsp
  • Mustard seeds: ½ Tsp
  • Cumin seeds: ½ Tsp
  • Ginger (chopped): ½ Tsp
  • Green chillies (chopped): ½ Tsp
  • One Onion (chopped)
  • Salt : As per taste
  • Green Peas: 50 gms
  • Curry leaves: Few
  • Coriander leaves: ¼ bunch
  • Lime juice: 1 Tsp
  • Water (as required) : 1 cup
DIRECTIONS:
  • Heat pan, and dry roast the semolina until slightly coloured and transfer into a plate. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil in same pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, ginger, green chillies, onions, little salt, curry leaves and saute it.
  • Add boiled green peas, coriander leaves, lime juice and saute it.
  • Add water and check for seasoning and add salt and boil it.
  • While water is boiling, add roasted semolina and mix nicely and cook it on slow flame with lid on it until it is done. Note Semolina should not become too soggy and overmoist. Consistency of Upma should be medium...
  • Now Green Pea Upma is ready to serve.
